HISTORY
The Hungry Trout began with the Bottcher family 40 years ago. Jerry and Linda Bottcher set out with the mission to build one of the very best Adirondack restaurants and resorts. They saw a gap in the Lake Placid bar and restaurant scene and took advantage of it. For the following 40 years the Bottcher family built and maintained the legacy of what would become the Hungry Trout. Be that as it may, In 2022 after 40 years of building, maintaining and running the Hungry Trout, Jerry and Linda retired.
In February of 2022, Jerry and Linda henceforth passed on the torch to the Forman family. Above all, Matt and Laura Forman are excited to continue offering the wonderful experience the Hungry Trout has provided. Furthermore, we look forward to offering this to everyone for the next 40 years.
