A perfect way to spend a few days in the north country. When you purchase a Bush Country package you are securing a spot on one of the Adirondacks true pieces of legacy waters. This package includes a nights lodging at the Hungry Trout Resort, A full course dinner at your choice of R.F.McDougall’s Pub, and a full day of guided fly fishing in the bush country. This legendary and very remote section of the Ausable River harbors the largest and wildest fish in our entire watershed. It also contains the river’s most renown pools made famous in Ray Bergman’s 1952 classic book, TROUT. Due to its limited access this area is very lightly fished. The HUNGRY TROUT leases the 800 acres of private land that borders this section and offers our guests guided access directly to the shoreline of this posted and gated stretch of wonderfully remote water.
